Need program to wipe a harddrive....

I am helping my brother who has messed up his HD.

I know that I have used a program that wipes a HD including
the boot sector but I can't find it and I doesn't remember
the name of it.

Can someone please tell me where I can find such program.

I don't now what he has done but somehow he lost some of his HD space
and he can't find it again. In other words there are space on the HD
that can't been partitioned and therefore a format wan't help me.

So maybe a program that I mentioned can wipe the HD and I can set up
the HD from scratch with fdisk (and hopefully find the lost data).

Partition magic will help you, of you could just FDisk and delete all the partitions and start again, either way it'll wipe the partitions off of the hard disk.

edit..I don't think you'll find the data if you FDisk the drive but Prtition magic might be able to help you there, you can delete/resize partitions and keep data in those partitions, sounds like exactly what you need.
