Any recommendations on a CD replacement drive? My ACER 40X has good south. Reliability is my greatest concern. I don't need a burner - just a drive.
Thanks,
DynaOne
A TEAC 32x is about as good and as cheap as it gets. But I'm afraid it's no longer sold so you may have to look around for a second hand one. Otherwise get a TEAC 40x.
I would suggest a dvd drive. They aren't really any more money, and (mine anyway) is much quieter than any cdrom I've had in years. Mine is an a-open, from newegg.com. It was about 50 bucks.
