I need a pda that runs palm software. Should I just buy a $100 palm pda, or should I consider a pocket pc with a software program that enables pocket pc's to run palm software. I only need to run one program that is written for palm. It is an insurance rate quoting program.
Are the features and options on the pocket pc far enough ahead of anything on the palm to make it worth getting above a palm.
I am sure I would use it for other things, like music, wifi-if possible.

both systems will run most software programs. the palms appear to hve better battery power, but only the higher end palms are color. My wife is a nurse and is working on her second windows based pda. All the programs she uses are set up for either os, but after asking around at work, most of the interns and doctors were using windows pda's. Take a look at this site, might help answer some of your questions Skyscape. good luck

sorry for missing that before. that being the case, i would go with palm and bypass software conversation.
