i don't have the KT7 on hand so i can't answer your question on that arena.

for voltages, usually i won't go beyond the default voltage of the chip +0.15V. 0.2V is really max for me.

The best thing to do (for me anyhow) was to increase just the cpu multiplier. The FSB will increase the speed at which other components run in your system. Some don't like that much.

Check my sig for my volt/OC settings.

Well, the KT7 only lets you go to 1.85v so that will not be a problem. The heat caused by that voltage WILL be a problem however, so ensure you have a top-notch HSF and some decent case fans also.

Provided you have used the 'pencil trick' and closed the L1 bridges on your CPU you will have no problem upping the multiplier. Keep an eye on your CPU temp and you will be fine.

You will also be able to up the FSB but be careful here. At 100Mhz the PCI clock runs at 1/3 of this (33Mhz) and upping the FSB may make the PCI bus and IDE channels unstable. My own KT7 is fine at 112 FSB which results in a PCI speed of 37Mhz.

Use Sisoft SANDRA for benchmarking and find a happy medium between the two.

In order to get the best out of your KT7 however you will also need to look at how fast you can make your system RAM run. Try setting the memory clock to 133 (HstClk+PCIClk) and the DRAM timings to FAST ot TURBO. Also try setting the 'SDRAM cycle strength' to CAS 2 for your memory and setting the 'DRAM banmk interleave' to '4-way'.

Changing these setting may of course leave your system unstable or unbootble. If you find that you cannot even get into the BIOS after attempting an overclock then simply hold down 'Insert' as you switch on and the BIOS will reset to factory default.

Bit long, sorry.

Cheers, Daz.:)
