Hey guys i am trying to pick a new mobo coz its time to get some new tech into my case. I was thinking along the lines of (socket 939) DFI, EPOX, ABIT, and ASUS (although i have already become to dislike ASUS) Im looking at $100- 160(170) price range, just for mobo. im also eyeing a budget AMD 64 3200+ (and around) And a Graphics card most likey ATI something around a 100 bucks. Plz help guys coz i just cannot pick with reading all tis stuff about nothing. I need some real user expertise.

HELP and OPINIONS greately appreciated =]

Thanks

Peter

They all make good boards & with the memory controller now in the CPU most boards using the same chipset perform very similarly at stock.
So look at features (including overclocking if that's a consideration), layout, bundle & price.

Unless you have a lot of good DDR RAM to carry across you may be better off considering an AM2 rather than 939 board especially as CPU prices are expected to tumble when Intel launchesCore 2 Duo.

If you are thinking ATi then is Crossfire a potential in the future?
If it is look at an RD580 chipset board.

Thanks man, i think of getting the Epox coz its cheaper, has overclocking features, and i didnt see anything wrong with it, on a larger scale.
