Need non-running car transported from Detroit to Baltimore - any ideas?

Hey guys - I just bought a dead jeep in Detroit. Problem is, I'm in baltimore. Anyone have any ideas about how to get it here for a reasonable amount of money?? Dealers buy cars at auction and whatnot all the time - and I'm sure they don't pay $800-$1000 to have them shipped to them... Right now my worst case scenario is that a buddy and I will drive the 500 miles out there, rent a u-haul tow dolly, and tow it back here.. but I'd rather avoid that if there's a reasonably priced alternative. The jeep rolls fine, but the engine is shot.

My cousin is a dealer in Minneapolis and goes to Detroit frequently to buy at auction. Him and a couple co-workers always drive them back (which, obviously, you can't do!). If I can can get a hold of him I'll ask if he knows any cheap ways to do it.

The real car hauling trailers at U-Haul arent much more money, and much easier to contend with.

Any pics of the Jeep? New, old? Details please. 🙂

Bunker, if you can find anything out, that'd be great.

The Jeep is an '89 YJ - red - no interior, no engine, but looks really good otherwise. I'm going to drop in a Chevy Ram Jet 350 (350 hp, 400 lb-ft) and watch the corvette owners cry. ;-) Assuming, of course, that I can GET the jeep to Maryland.
