My Bose companion 2 just broke(sound coming out from only one speaker)
what are some nice strong 2.0 or 2.1 speaker?
I really like this bose but i dont want to run into same problem again(this is second set with same problem)
I;m thinking about the logitech 2.1 speaker with THX(forgot model)
I want to get 5.1 speakers but too many wires to deal with.

Logitech's Z2300s are good (these are the ones you were thinking about). There's also a Klipsch 2.1 set that ppl. rave about, but I don't remember the model number.

klipsch iFi's if you can pick them. or the promedia 2.1s otherwise. bb sells the promedias for 99 bucks during sales which is an absolute steal.

If you can find these models in store, just make sure to listen to them first (most of them are hooked up to an audio source) to make sure you get a set that sound good to you.

I also sync. with the fact that Logitech Z-2300s are good; they look neat and produce great sound. Check out here for some reviews and articles on Logitech Z-2300.

What would your budget be?

I recently purchased a set of Acoustic Energy Aego M's for $200+shipping.
It's a 2.1 system that's very well received by reviewers.
I upgraded from a very old set of Labtec Pulse 424's and all I can say is the difference was incredible. It felt like someone was covering my ears with the Labtecs, and the Aego's removed them - it's so much clearer. I can't speak for the Bose system as I've never used it, although I believe Bose is supposed to make very good speakers?

I'd say give that a shot if it's within your budget.
