Need new psu

I need a new psu as the one in my dad's rig died and he got a spare from me which I now need. I figured I could just as well buy a new one for my main rig instead and give him the 340W I have in it now, he uses the spare 220W now which is good enough for the Celeron333 it's gonna be used in but for his Duron1Ghz more wouldn't hurt I guess. I want the best psu for the money, the cheaper the better but quality comes first.

I've made a list of the interesting ones I can get from local shops (name, watt, price and description):
Chieftec 340W - 300dkr. (have one now, works fine, could get another one)
Enermax EG 365P-VE FCA - 350W - 950dkr. (whisper with adjustable fan)
Macron 400W - 550dkr.
Channel Well CWT420ATX12PFC - 420W - 800dkr.
Enermax EG 465P-VE FCA - 431W - 1295dkr. (whisper with adjustable fan)
Enermax EG651P-VE FMA - 550W - 1995dkr. (whisper with adjustable fan, overkill and far too costly, will not get this one unless you have some real good reasons)
Please keep the answers to those, all except the Chieftec are AMD certified I think.

I'd probably go with any Enermax...and most likely the 350 is going to be cheaper, and should be more than powerful enough for what you want to do with it.

I would go with the Channel Well since it is a bit cheaper than the Enermax. Channel Well = Sparkle = just as good as Enermax.

How much difference does the two fans in the Enermax psu's do? And how silent can they be? If I get an Enermax I'll prolly get the 431W just to make sure I've got power enough for the future.

You won't need more than the enermax 350 for that. I would go with that if I were you. But if price isn't an issue, go with the higher wattage. And they are extremely quiet. Check newegg.com refurbs.. i think they still have some.

Enermax EG 365P-VE FCA - 350W

unless u running a server with alot o HDs i think a 350W is more than enough. besides if ur like me (gamer machine has 1 DVD-ROM, 1 floppy, 1 HD) u don't want all the extra molex connectors cloggin up ur case makin it look unruly. a 350W is nice and clean.

I am running a ftp-server with many hd's, 4 so far but will prolly add more later. I have 1 dvd, 1cd/rw, 4hd's and 3 case-fans that use molex-connectors..
You're right about molex-connectors, if you don't use 'em all they're irritating, but now I need more y-cables so I can run both my hd's and all my case fans (=have a way too hot case now as I don't have any fans running).

It's going to be used in the Baudros rig, see under rigs.

So Channel-Well is just as good as Enermax? Which one has the most stable power? How well do they cool compared to Enermax?

The 340W I have now is going into my dad's rig as mentioned before, the one called Duron under rigs below.
(This is just a fancy way of making a bump).

Ok, I've decided on two of them: it'll either be the Channel Well or the 431W Enermax. Which one should I get? Judging from what I know the power should be about the same from both of 'em. Which one cools best, I guess the Enermax since it had two fans, but how much better? When I got the 340W Chieftec I have know case temps rose nearly 4C because there aren't any venting holes in the bottom of the psu, that's why I'm asking.
And which one if most noisy (ie Enermax with fans on full speed vs. Channel Well)? How silent can the Enermax become and still be stable?
Yeah, I've got lot's of questions but I want to make sure I get the best one.

Doesn't anybody have any comments one those psu's? I know there's many fans of Enermax psu's here, can't any of you answer my questions?
