Need new printer...advice please

Currently I have an Hp all in one and a Canon i860. I have already gone through the photo printers (had an epson photo 1200 series). I hate the all in one units and am basically looking for a printer that prints excellent color.

I am currently in Grad School getting my Masters in Teaching and print out numerous pages with fun lessons that all have color. I love the canon and how it takes individual ink cartridges for each color but I want something faster and with better color resolution.

I tend to stay away from HP bc I truly don't like them or my all in one. Does anyone have any suggestions? In my house I do have a network set up but only have a Mac powerbook and a Dell Laptop on it. Thus, I don't care if the printer is network capable, I have airport express anyway.

Any suggestions, would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!😕
 
What's wrong with the i860? I guess you could always upgrade to a Canon IP5000.

Inkjets will print better color than a color laser. A lot cheaper too if you buy a Canon and refill or buy generic carts.
