Need new MOBO advice

Ok, I've had it up to here (hand is under chin) with VIA and their POS chipsets. I am sick of installing 4in1 drivers, messing with the BIOS et al... just to get my system running stable on an ASUS p3v4x. I want to get a new NON via chipset MOBO that will work better with my stuff (please check my rigs, the one called main PC!). I would greatly appreciate good reccomondations on getting a new board from you guys, so please let me know. Thanks.

*BTW* PLEASE dont say "get a t-bird". 🙂

humm... your motherboard is very good already, and installing 4-in-1 is probably the easiest update anyone have to do (of course, not doing it at all would be easier) meanwhile, you don't need to update it all the time, just update to 4.25 and you are set.

and if you insist in one, it would be Asus CUSL2 or MSI's I815ep motherboard.
however, performance would be much of an increase and imo, its a waste of money.

I agree...unless you are having issues one really shouldn't update and possibly throw a monkey up the situation...especially bios updates...

I have via products and I took care of all of my issues at 4.28 and hence haven't bothered going to 4.29 finals yet. I download them and have them ready to go, but I try not to mess with the system when it is running fine...

Money is not an issue. I did a fresh WinME and I installed the 425 (and others) and DMA still doesnt work.
