If all you want to do is say get Beats because they are good enough for Lebron. Just leave.

My Sennheiser earbuds that are about 2 years old have had it. The right speaker doesn't work. Their is fraying on the cord. These things are shot. So I need a replacement.

What I had were basically $50 versions of this (mine were in yellow):

I can get those For $80 on Amazon:

At $80, it is an option but I am thinking more along the lines of $50. Any suggestions for earbuuds with the same style as the Senns?

I've been using these for running:

Panasonic RPHJE120K In-Ear Headphone, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EM8008/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_z20rwb92AYE4B

The most important thing to me is that they STAY in my ears while out for a run. I sweat like crazy, and these never fall out. I'm also not concerned about sound quality when I run, as long as the headphones work and stay in my ears I'm sold. These do just that. Cheap as all hell, I can't complain one bit.

Thanks for the idea. At he price, they might work but I'm a bit of a sound quality snob. Haivng had cheap headphones in the past I can't imagine that these would last more than a few months.

What ends up breaking on them? The cord isn't fabric, so there's no chance of fraying. Maybe if they just stop working one day... But I've had a pair of these for about 2 years now and they still work fine. fwiw, I run probably 3x a week. I bought a second pair to carry in my tennis bag just because they're so cheap. Of course if you're a sound snob, these probably aren't for you :D

I don't use headphones when running anymore, but when I did I preferred using something that was a more "half in ear" design like the Phiaton PS20 for a couple of reasons. First, they still allow some outside sound in. Running with isolating IEM types is a recipe for disaster, plus you get a lot of sound traveling up the cord. Second, the half in ear design doesn't rely on getting a good seal for good sound. Trying to keep a good seal while running also sucks.

Yurbuds for me. Only things that stay in my ear, sound decent and let ambient sound in.

I bought some JayBird BlueBuds X Bluetooth Sports and they sound good, super convenient not having to deal with a cord and kind of stay in place but too much noise isolating for me and have to wear them with only one in.

Have owned a couple of Sennheiser Sports earbuds and they were always garbage, so I avoid them.

I have that same Panasonic earphones that I use exclusively when I am out running. It's been about 2 years now and they are still working fine. I run the wire down under my shirt to the Sansa Clip attached at my waist so the wire is exposed to sweat but hasn't ruined the wire yet. Best $8 I've spent.

Hmmmmm, that clip is a good idea. I run the cord down my shirt too, but there's always that excess wire hanging out the bottom of my shirt. I've been doing that for years now... Maybe it's time to upgrade :D

The low gauge cables in cheap headphones usually break. Typcailly near the area of the headphone jack or where the wire terminates into the speaker area.

I have those. They do stay in well. And they do let in more outside noise than my "in the ear" ones. That should be a good thing if you're outside running. They do need more power to drive them so my sansa clips needs charging every couple of days. I can get a week with my skull candies. Obviously I'm not a sound snob. Tinnitus , ftl.

I have a pair of Bluebuds X myself. I love them, but not for running. The earpieces are so big and heavy they just never kept any kind of seal for me when I was running. Around the house they work great. The little wings you have to stick in your ears aren't the most comfortable either.

Got the Sennheiser 680s to try out. These are last year's model (or a few year old?). The current model is the 686. I paid about $40 instead of $70 for the new model by getting the older ones.

I also snagged some foam ear bud pads for $2.50 to try out since these come with none.

And I finally remembered to get the foam pad replacements for my Grado SR-60 cans!!!
