I plan on getting an Elsa Gladic GeForce2 GTS 32mb. Since OCing the core doesn't speed things up much at all I think I'll leave it at default and just OC the memory. I plan on putting on memory heat sinks of course, but do I need anything on the core besides the default fan and heatsink?

Well, I'm just going by what anandtech found out in their tests on the 32mb geforce2 gts. They OCed core in increments past 240 I think, and it made less then a 1% difference. It would be better to use that heat consumption in OCing the memory higher for more performance they basically said. I'm just wondering if I need a new fan or the stock one would work ok. What do you think?

Get a Blue Orb, its the best chipset cooler out there right now. I have 1 on my Geforce and it cools it down significantly compared to the OEM fan.

at 2cooltek , they said that their copper vid card coolers outperformed the blue orb but I think the blue orb does a better job of cooling

I said overclock to 214 not 240 at 240 you card will run like sh!t.. I run my card mem at 410mhz when benchmarking and 380 all the rest of the time.....

I said in increments up to 240. At 240 it was almost a 1fps difference over the standard 200. It was less as you went down of course. They said the ideal set up would be leaving the core at 200 and then taking your memory as high as it will go, so that's what I'll do. Back to the topic tho, I am wondering if just OCing the memory would raise the core that much to need a new fan/heatsink on it.

They are wrong the ideal setting it not to leave the core at 200 but to run it at aroud 210 to 215 and your stock fan will be just fine....
