Need new cellphone and carrier

Any recommendations as to what to get? I'm just looking for something for the wife to use as shes always out and about with the kids and with crappy weather coming I want her covered. We used to have "regular" cell phones, but they never ever got used and were a total waste of money for us. But I know now carriers offer very small plans and pay-as-you-go options.

Just looking for the best recommendations.

I think you'll want one of those prepaid deals. Hopefully you can find a phone on ebay cheaper than a new one would be.

Prepaid minutes do expire eventually, but I consider that part of the cost of having a cell phone. It's almost certainly cheaper than even the cheapest regular (non-prepaid) plan.

can't I just get a phone with the minutes when I buy it? I don't want to hassle with ebay to get a phone.
Doesn't Target or some sh!t have phones and minutes together super cheap?
