what other features do you want? IP-35E or GA-P35-DS3L. spend a bit more ($20) for the DFi blood iron if you want.

I just want to spend less than $70 on the mobo. The only "feature" I can think of is PCI Express.

$69.99 + S&H.

Read the reviews, seems like a nice OCer.

I was looking about this. It seems decent, but I'm not positive about it. I'll look into it.

Asrock Conroe1333 D667 $47 at mwave.com

Just need to paint a couple of dots on the cpu to set it to a native 266Mhz fsb.

It will hit 350Mhz, faster than the 2180 will go.

If you haven't bought the cpu yet, a 2160 will hit 3Ghz with room to spare.

Thanks for the tip. This sounds like a hot deal.

By painting a couple dots, you mean BSEL mod of course. Do you have any guides to that please?

Thanks

UPDATE: Wow on this I can save. I can get an E2180 and this mobo for $139 shipped.

you want the asrock 1333fsb mobo. i got mine from mwave for around $80 1 week ago. supports 45nm and has my favorite "amibios", so it'll overclock nicely. my pentium D is currently at 3.75Ghz, completely stable (250FSB).

Crossfire, not SLI.

As for the ASRock board, Newegg has it for $49. There are two versions, one is the Conroe1333-D667 and the other one (looking identical) is the Wolfdale1333-D667. I'm guessing the latter ships with a 45nm capable BIOS. Note that while it does have FSB adjustments, you will have to raise the PCI-E speed along with it as the 945 series chipset only has a pseudo lock on the speed. If you leave PCI-E at 100MHz then you won't get good clocks. Additionally, while you can do the BSEL mod for FSB, the board does not give you Vcore settings so you may need to do the Vcore mod as well. Search VR-Zone for details on both of those mods. The board does have two voltage adjustments, one for memory and one for chipset. Settings are limited to something like NORMAL/HIGH. For any overclocking you'd want to set both to HIGH.

Have fun, and let us know what you end up getting and how it overclocks.
