Need more good video game based movies

i know the movie actually came out before the video game, but we really need a good movie based on video games.

i can't think of any good ones... i do remember stinkers like Super Mario Bros (what were they thinking), Street Fighter (did what's his name do a split in this one?), and anything made by Uwe Ball

I recommend film makers look at the following video games:
Zero Wing
Boong-Ga Boong-Ga
Samurai Shodown (no more ninja movies please)
Crossbow (it'd be a lotr knock off)
Super Punch Out
Elevator Action
 
Elevator Action is a classic game, but a movie about a dude riding elevators and walking in doors to get suitcases would be kind of, umm I dunno BORING? the game has zero story. Crossbow the old ass lightgun game? I don't remember a story there either except don't let the people get attacked by snakes, bats & falling rocks lol.

Elevator Action II/Returns has the potential for being a movie when compared to the first one, but they would have to take a lot of liberties with the story concept. 😛
