Need mobo: nforce2, auto-unlock t-bred, onboard vid?

Looking for something I can use for office duty and then ship off to act as a server. I reallllly want on-board vid, as I'm not gaming.

Why do you want to overclock it, but don't want decent video? The EPoX 8K9A series are the only boards of which I am aware that offer unlocked T-Breds, but they don't come with onboard video.

As far as I know it does both the 'a' and 'b'. It bridges the pins (or the subsequent circuitry on the mobo) in the socket.
EDIT:
Okay, that has onboard video? Personally, I'd go with an Epox over most other mobo makers, Asus and Abit possibly excepted, depending on available features and such....
Anyway, good luck 🙂

What ever happened to the Epox 8RGA? It was supposed to come with the onboard GeForce 4 MX.. 440? Not sure which MX model, but it was a GF4 MX. I thought it was supposed to be released the same time as the 8RDA.

Was looking to use it as a game server. Toss a 2100 in it, OC it, 2x256 and you've got a mean machine. Of course, then it might be faster than my "home" rig... hmm.

Looks like the Epox is $93 shipped, no vid. The MSI is $113 shipped, no vid. Is there a halfway decent vid card obtainable online for $20 that would be a better buy?

what about using that, with the 5 second unlock thing that was floating around ehre

Yeah, I think no such thing as '5 second unlock' 😉... besides, never as easy as just plugging it in the socket. Plus, any T-Bred that goes there is unlocked.

Check Newegg refurbished Items for a video card (and for mobo's for future reference, but they don't have eithr of those right now), and look at Pricewatch for a video card. Check any vendor referred from Pricewatch at Reseller Ratings.

godmare:
i was referring to unlocking all mults on a cpu...kinda like how some boards are

on some boards, you have a choice of only the higher ones or lower ones....with that it unlocks all
