That shows the page margins - you should be able to turn it off in your options somewhere. (That or in your View menu set it to Print Layout - mine doesn't show any in Print Layout)

Im in print layout, and I cant find the option to turn them off.

ARGGhhh :|

I have to type a paper and these are gonna show up on the copy if I cant figure it out.

They won't be printed out. That's only for your reference.

Text Boundries is not it

Ok, they show up in Print Preview,
but not when I actually printed a page.

Thats good.

I'd still like to get rid of them.
Anyone know how to?

bjb86s told you exactly how, but... you have to be viewing the page in View/Page Layout view before the option for unchecking text boundaries will be available. In Normal View that option isn't there. Never seen anything like that before. Man, that program is laden with doodads! :Q

I've only got Word97 here, so that's all I can do... wait, my son may have a newer version... nope, he's got Word2000 and I couldn't find it. His "Text Boundaries" option was available no matter what view was selected.
