Need memory suggestions please.

Hi All,
I picked up this laptop today, the cost was $350 after rebate which is not too bad for what it is. Trouble is Vista needs 2GB of ram and this only comes with 512mb. I need to know a good option for some RAM that won't break the bank. I don't want to spend a ton on RAM when I only paid $350 for the entire unit.

I was thinking of this memory or this memory but not sure if one is superior. I could get the Mushkin memory but it's about $50 more, not too sure if it's worth it. No overclocking or anything, just regular use.

Thanks a ton for any advice.

Joe

the fry's ram you linked goes to a general page...maybe you copied the wrong URL?

you've been lied to...depending on what you do, 1gb should be enough, especially if you don't game.

the G.SKILL is good but if you really want to save money, open up your laptop and check to see what ram is already in there. get a matching 512mb stick and you should be set. shouldn't cost you more than $40.

otherwise, go for a 2x512mb kit of the G.SKILL ram you linked instead of the 1gb stick. if you really do want 2gigs, though, go for the G.SKILL
