Need medical advice please.

Ok, this past week I have been drinking a lot more water than I normally have in the past. Since I have started drinking more water I've had a pain in the middle of my back on the right side. I don't know if it could be the way I'm sitting in my chair or what though. It's not a terrible pain but it isn't comfortable and it seems to start hurting while at work when I drink water more. Any ideas?

Can you detail your symptoms more? Does it hurt more when you pee? Or just when you drink water.

i drank 3 coffees today, went for a piss and i swear it smelled like coffee....

Early indications of kidney stone perhaps? Sudden increase in water intake could have nudged it on its way.

qft..go see a urologist - they'll take an XRay/CT/IVP and confirm whatever is going on but it sounds like a kidney stone

..ya. I pzz colombian.

FWIW, I had a similar pain in that area about a month ago. It felt like a pulled muscle or something but I thought it could have been a kidney stone. I play hockey though so I thought it was from getting hit or hit by a puck. Anyways, I didn't do anything about it and it went away in a couple weeks.

So my advice is to give it some time unless the pain is extreme.

Ya, I'm kinda wondering if its the way I sit in my chair, and it's not an extreme pain.

Go see a doctor.
My neighbor had an excruciating pain there, went to the ER, and they misdiagnosed it. He went home and it happened again.
He went to a different hospital and they caught it.
He had a blockage in one of the major vessels in his kidney, and most of that kidney is dead now. There was nothing they could do by the time it was diagnosed.
Moral of the story? Don't muck around with things like kidney pain, go see a doctor.
