I need a crapload of CD's. Like several hundred of them. Someone with WAY too much time on their hands wants to cover their entire ceiling with CDs to make the whole thing reflective. Sounds kinky to me, but they're out of CDs. Pressed CD's (eg store bought as opposed to CDR's) are the most reflective, any idea where I can get a sh!tload of them for free, or the cost of shipping? Any of you have a stash of AOL CD's, maybe?

E-mail me vipergts@teleport.com if you can help...

Thanks.

:D

Can't help with the CDs (sorry), but how are they planning on attaching them to the ceiling without damaging the ceiling itself?

The 100 cdrs that i got for 30 bucks at compusa are silver on the non writable side, shinney. Shouldn't you just use a mirror? But then again we don't know what you want to do once your ceiling is reflective.

Sure, fscked up CDR's are fine. Dunno if they'll use them, but it's worth a shot. Besides, they could do some sort of multi-colored pattern. One way or another, it's still be cool.

You could write something with the blue/green discs - or draw a picture with it - make a big smily with em :)

Well, I'm thinking there's only one quick way to go about doing this quickly.

1. Walk into your nearby small computer retailer/library/college or university with a computer science course offered. Basically go somewhere where you can find a stack of those free computer publications.
2. Steal stack when nobody's looking.
3. Repeat at different location as needed. :p

If you've got some time, you could use the person's address and pretend to be a computer retailer -- most of these free publications will deliver 100+ copies to a place under the belief that they'll be available to a large chunk of the public from that location. Neither method is very scrupled, but that's the way the river flows sometimes. :)
