Please point me to a link to download a copy of Linux that will run on P166 Mhz, 128 MB, 1G drive. Every thing I download runs on 64 bits and my CPU won't handles it. Thanks.

odd.

Your only finding x86-64 setups??

You want to look for cdrom images that are: i386, x86, i486, or i586 in their name somewere.

http://www.linuxiso.org/

That's a pretty lean machine. Once you get whatever you want installed avoid using full fledged desktop enviroment like Gnome or KDE. Try a minimalist setup with something like Icewm or Fluxbox.

Check out slackware or Debian.

You might want to try vector linux. It's slackware based and compatable with pre-packaged slackware software.

Good ideas on running a different WM. I just installed Ubuntu on an old laptop (celeron 466, 128MB RAM) and installed xfce and it runs a little better than Gnome. I'm thinking of trying blackbox or fluxbox.... any recommendations on which lite WM is best??
