Need LAN help so that two computer can share files and play games

I just hooked up two computers on a US Robotics Router. I have DSL. I can access the internet on both with no problem. What is the easiest way to be able to share files between the two computers and make it so I can play games using each computer? Also the router has a parallel printer port. Can I not use my usb connection to allow both computers to use the printer. I already had one computer using the usb port for the printer. Both computers are using Windows XP. Thanks for your help. This is my first time doing this.
 
You can enable Print and File sharing in winxp in control panel/network. Then just go to my computer, right click what drive you want to share and click on sharing. To access the other network drive, right click on the my computer on desktop and map network drives. just put in //computername/drivename ie //comp/c. To play games, just create a lan game and get the other computer to join.
