I have large stumpy fingers so I need a keyboard with ~25% larger keys. Something like this

http://tinyurl.com/572ohn (newegg)

but I don't like the half size function keys. I don't need anything fancy like LCD display or "ergonomic" curved. I don't even need wireless.

also, I don't want something with gaps between keys.

I do like a few extra programmable keys like volumes, play/pause, email, etc.

any ideas? thanks.

There are several out there - but beyond the Chester Creek Technologies models, they really get expensive, i.e., in the $130 range. Check out the CCT models - at $70 they seem to be the cheapest.

Like laptop keys? Look at the OCZ Alchemy Elixir, just make sure to test that crtl and space work at the same time.

get a hand reduction. ok, seriously, I have bigger hands than 99% of everybody and I have no problem whatsoever with a normal keyboard. It sounds to me, like you are making excuses for having bad coordination. Also, why would you want keys with no space in between, if your fingers are fat?

Unicomp

I don't think their keys are much larger than the standard 104 key format, though. But I fully agree they're the best keyboard for the money you can buy new today. I own two unicomps and I forsee using them until I'm collecting social security.

You're going to have a really hard time finding a keyboard with larger keys. You may just need a keyboard that has spacing/contours more agreeable with your anatomy. There are some great keyboards out there that are ergonomic and last a lifetime with the parts they use. Feel free to PM me if you want some links.
