I'm getting a Nokia 3650 cell phone and need to get an IR adapter card for my PC. I've never dealt with IR before, so have no idea where to start looking.

What is a good card to go with this phone?

And, of course, where would I find a good price on this?

Check my sig for my configuration.

Anyone else out there have this phone and use the IR capabilities?

Thanks for any help.:)

edit: Just thinking about it, and I was wondering if there is such a thing as a combined USB 2.0/firewire/IR card or adapter? Or maybe some combination of the same? What I really need though is an IR adapter; maybe USB?

I can't imagine having to pay for an IR adapter on a desktop, most people just use it because their laptops already come with such device. Since the 3650 has bluetooth capabilities, you're better off getting a USB bluetooth dongle, they only go for around $30. Bluetooth is much more elegant than IR, as you don't need to keep the devices adjacent to each other during sync.

Bt is VERY bad for the 3650 because the pc suite is AWFUL and doesnt support half of the devices out there. Buy an ir port and if you have an mmc card reader, then you can put movies and large files on there
