Can you add folder on iTunes as your media library or no

From the drop down file menu it gives me the option of adding a folder to the library, it then takes me to the list like desktop, My files, videos, etc. I don't know where to get media player from this?

jsut drag everything from media player into iTunes, tho this will only work for music, the videos will have to be converted to MP4 with Nero Recode, Videora, or some other transcoder...

erm...

open up itunes while having a windows explorer window with all the mp3s that you want added, highlight all of the mp3s and drag them to itunes. it will then be added to your library. you can also add multiple folders this way.

you have to physically have the files and movies on your harddrive -- they can't be streams or anything.

I have both programs open but when I try to drag a song from media player to Itunes nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? 😕

It only works if the files in WMP are MP3, perhaps.

Well I am pretty sure all of the songs are in MP3 format, but you think that is the reason the songs won't just drag and drop?

EDIT: How does one usually get the songs into Itunes?

Ok, have you tried dragging the songs from where the songs are stored on your hard drive to iTunes instead of from WMP to iTunes?

Winner, thanks for the help. 🙂

Is there a way to drag more than one song at a time? At this rate I'll be here all night.

Drag and drop the entire folder (including sub folders) w/ all the songs into iTunes.

You connect the iPod to your computer. iTunes will auto transfer everything in the main playlist to the iPod. You can tweak the transfer options in iTunes preferences.

Ps. Ignore the late night trolls.

thanks for reading what i posted:

if you need help on such simple tasks, it's probably because you're not reading documentation thoroughly.

Here's the solution to all iPod problems:

Sell the piece of crap and buy a real MP3 player.

Lol, seriously, I have the black 60gb ipod and I REFUSE to use itunes. Instead I would HIGHLY recommend this:

PM me for step by step to convert any movie file to iPod compatible format.

Well...I didn' know that World of Warcraft had an iTunes replacement in it.
