Need: Intel 775 CPU for BIOS flash

I bought the ASUS Maximus Formula motherboard but it needs to be flashed with a new BIOS in order for the E8400 to be recognized...anyone in the NY area have an Intel 775 CPU they can lend me for 10 minutes?...you can bring the CPU over and watch me flash the board and then take it back...I'm desperate here...can anyone help?...Thanks

I had the same problem happen to me with an Abit board; I managed to convince tech support to send me an entirely new BIOS chip, which has gotten me up and running on my E8400. Have you tried that avenue?
