need info on testing newly built system

Hi,
I am about to build a new PC with the Abit Kr7-r, AthlonXP 1900+ and corsair p2400 cl=2 memory.
What diagnostic software should i use to test system performance to know if i am configured properly .
And if anyone knows how to set this system optimally please chime in as well

Test for stability first, using something like Prime95. Then you can go about tweaking through BIOS for better performance. I'd also suggest Motherboard Monitor so you can observe your temps while testing.

its got some real good benchmarks...
