Need info on DVI-I DVI-T and other DVI's

What is the meaning behind these letters added to DVI? My radeon 7500 says it has a DVI-I output, but is it still possible to use a DVI-T or whatever other DVI-X with it (with or without an adapter, that is)? Also, does anybody have any suggestions on a good 15" to use with this card? I'm looking at the VG150 Viewsonic.

DVI-I is the dual-mode connector that has both digital and analog signals. Use any DVI peripheral with it, or use a DVI-to-VGA adapter for your existing analog display unit.

regards, Peter
