I've been thinking about buying a laptop for some time now. I came across this offer from dell for a refurbished one.

Inspirion 8100
1 Ghz
256 MB RAM
15 SXGA
20 GB
CD-RW and a 32 MB GeForce2
$1325

They're having a sale on refurbished models that ends at midnight (i hope that's west coast time) so I was hoping for some quick feedback from the experts! Thanks!

Though sadly I've been tempted by those dear dear dear Titanium colored devils by Apple.

edit:

luckily I can't afford any laptop at the moment =)

if anyone does have any recommendations for a lappie, please share. I was kind of looking for around the same specs and hoping to stay around $1600. let me know.

I also saw a toshiba laptop at best buys for $1350, which sounds really good. What do you guys think...or should I just wait until after Christmas?

Maybe that was my I8100 that I returned :). The 8100's are very fast laptops, but they are constructed very cheaply and the layout (with both the ethernet and modem on the right side where alot of people use a mouse) is horrible.
