NEED IMMEDIATE HELP WITH Aopen AK86-L (KT800)...won't detect SATA drive. No setting in BIOS for SATA IDE/RAID

1) I don't have the same type of board as you, but my SATA drives also don't show up in the BIOS (they are not part of the primary or secondary IDE channels), but there is a seperate boot screen for them that shows they are connected. Maybe your drive is getting detected...

2) The Raptors have a SATA power conenctor and an old school molex connector, but you should only use one or the other. You aren't using both are you?

Just a few things to consider.

Just a few things to consider.

It isn't getting detected at the VIA RAID BIOS screen either. I only have the 4-pin HD connector connected now...I'll try the SATA power adapter when I finish eating.

Tried playing around with boot devices? I got the ASUS one and there's no ide or raid sata mode for the via controller. Just for the promise one which the aopen doesn't have.
