Planning to make a frame for my college dipolma and I am having trouble deciding what color matting i should use to match the frame. My dipolma is white with a gold seal on the bottom, i am not sure if i should use a white color mate to match the dipolma color, or i should use a black matting to make the dipolma stand out. I need ideas, please help, and perhaps you can show me some examples (i.e., your framed dipolma).

thanks.

White with a white diploma would look horrible, especially considering that your diploma may look white, but it probably has a slight yellow or grey tint to it because of the paper it's printed on (and even if it IS bleach white right now, age will add a little color to it). Black would work, but I think that a stained/lacquered wood would look best. (ie: cherry, walnut)

It would look more prestigious and honorable as black tends to look like the cheap-o option. It would also look good to add matting in your school color(s).

Engineering?

Buy a couple of cheap motherboards, and cut out the middle.

Or you take take Old Cpus, take off the heatsink, and place them onto a clear sheet of plastic/glass in a rectangular shape.

take a look at what your school is offering and emulate. White on White would be a horrendous idea
