need to do a How-To speech.

ideas ive thought of:

Build your own Amp
HomeBrewing
Drive a standard

need some more ideas.

they have to be appropriate for college (most are 19 y.o. id say)

the only catch is that i have to find 3 non Internet sources. and thats making the first 2 difficult.

Boy, that's awfully simplistic for a college class. I remember doing that in freshman (highschool) English.

Misc. ideas: Change a tire, install a NIC, repair a broken irrigation pipe.

I think you should be able to generate a 5 minute talk on this pretty easily.

yes, but you could also go on for hours.

its limiting the speech that i should find difficult.

Just hit the highlights.

Keep reciepts and shred them, same for CC apps, etc.
Check your CC report anually at least.
Explain 1 time use CC numbers and their benefits.
Give a brief run down of phishing and how to avoid falling for it.
What SSL provides and what it doesn't.

You could pick a couple of these and give a minute or or so.

How to finagle your GF's friend into the sack and keep her from telling your GF about it. :p

Get into the whole psychological headgames aspect of it all. Talk about the follow-up emails, the covering your ass by finding out dirt on the friend and blackmailing her w/it.

All that jazz.

well im doing the Identity theft as i can relate it to our class.

but im having trouble figuring out how i can site the FTC report im using.

Forbes.com has put some of their percentages into a graph which makes it easier, but that article isnt a print article. the FTC report is.
