Season 3 is getting released on BR at the end of April. That will be your chance to get a high-res version.

They're recapturing the footage from source, doing the edits again and redoing the sfx for the BR releases.

I would suggest going to a Star Trek:TNG convention/gathering and paying Sir Patrick Stewart to do the pose for you. Offer him $50.

But who's going to pay me the $5000 to actually set foot in one of those conventions ;p

Do you need it now? Like mentioned before the blu-ray version will be released in April. You might be able to download just the HD version of that episode somewhere once that's released.

I think I'll wait to see if I can a higher quality version in April like you mentioned and either give it as a Xmas or next year gift. I might even spend a little more and see if I can get it signed.
