Need helping finding a socket A heatsink

Ok well I am trying to rebuild an old computer into a low end media center. Everything is going well so far except the heatsink. It is a Socket A Amd Duron 1.0ghz The heatsink on it sounds like a jet engine. I am trying to find a very quiet replacement for it. The motherboard does not have the four holes around the cpu. So it needs to be a clip on socket a fan capable of cooling a 1.0ghz Duron. Does anybody have any suggestions.

Yup, hard to find a better Sock-A HSF for the money than the WhisperRock or falconRock from Spire or Masscool (same company). They screwed up their naming scheme though - the WhisperRocks are supposed to have all aluminum heatsinks and the FalconRocks are supposed to be the ones with the copper core. It's possible that the ones with the more normal looking fans might be quieter.
I use a Thermal Integration V77L on my Duron 1600 but the stock fan is pretty feisty. I use a fan controller on mine - cools well while being relatively quiet now. I really like radial fin heatsinks like the V77L - by far the best heat sink design for use with normal fans.

Second that. Awesome heatsink.
Another choice is the AX7. Buy those used and you'll save.

Thirded... My wife's computer runs a 2500+ OCed to 3200+ specs with a Thermalright SLK-947 and a quiet 92mm fan. Works beautifully.
