Need help

I got a plextor 40x drive, and i cant get it to work with nero. Nero does not detect the drive. But roxio will, I want to use nero. Is there a newer version that i need? I have version 5.5.5.1

ALSO my com- just froze up i think my hd died, and then i couldnt get it to reboot. then i put it in my parents and it worked then put it back in mine and it works now~ WTF, Is there a program other that scan disk i can use to test the hd througly.

IT WORKS NOW though, seems to be fine. I dont got all my crap installed. I dont wanna format again :-/

Do you have the latest IDE drivers?

yea its via, , not sure about them but i figured that since the KT7266A Ppro 2 by msi was rated so good that maybe Viz got better.

You need 5.5.7.0 or later for that drive. 5.5.7.8 is the latest.
