I just read an article over on tech-report.com and it was about hardware drivers, incompatabilities etc etc etc. My question is this. How am I supposed to know every single driver update to install (via drivers, amd drivers, etc.). Granted I haven't had any troubles with my MSI pro2a and my other components but I probably just got lucky. Why woulndt MS upgrade it's "Windows Update" and allow it to search for Via 4 in 1's and new vid card drivers and warn you of any known problems? I mean they could still have the normal site for all of the aol terminals. but what about the hardware enthusiast, is he left to struggle with irq conflicts and this chipset doesnt like this pci card - with no help whatsoever. Granted that's half the fun of building your own system, seeing what works best and fixing all of the troubles, but how can the main provider of OS not help out at all?

Maybe I'm just looney, maybe.

Windows Update does offer driver updates from time to time. The service packs are much better.
