so here's the deal. my computer was running fine until i got 20in lcd screen. I was playing cs without any lag, but since i upgraded my monitor, it started to lag every 5 seconds or so. So, wondering if the graphic card is not good enough (MX400 64mb) i upgraded to FX 5200 128MB. instead of fixing the problem, it still lags like a mofo. not only that, i looked at my config and its saying that my graphic card is connected to PCI instead of AGP. I tried everything to get it to AGP but i couldnt figure it out. I couldnt find the option in the BIO setting. PLEASE HELP!!!!

i tried everything from 800 X 600 to 1680 X 1050 (that's my monitor's max res)

correct me if im wrong but i dont think its my graphics but more of connection problem...

funny thing is its only happening to my computer among everyone who shares the same type of connection (in my dorm suite).

i really dont get what's wrong with my computer connection... or is it my graphics after all...

Check you have the latest motherboard chipset drivers and graphics drivers, then try again.
And by check, I mean download and install, whether you already have them or not :p (Well, it's not going to do any hard). I found when my display adapter was showing up as PCI, it was because I had not peroperly installed my motherboard chipset drivers.

both. i first thought my games would freeze up every 10 seconds or so because of my graphic, but even after upgrade, it still froze.

while i was going through my setup, i found that my graphic was installed in "PCI" instead of AGP.
