hey im looking at building my FIRST pc this month, i will be gaming and overclocking, i have read the fourms for a while and have come up with the following:
Athlon 64 3200+, 2.2 GHz, Socket 754, 512Kb L2 Cache Newcastle (CG)
XP-90 with 92mm tornado
DFI LANParty UT nF3-250Gb
Thermatake Extreme Spirit Chipset Cooler
Leadtek Winfast A400GTTDH nVidia FX6800GT Video Card, 256Mb DDR3
Thermatake Extreme Giant III, Dual Heatpipe & Dual Fan VGA cooler
OCZ 3500EB DDR466 2x512Mb
Thermaltake A1165 Active memory cooling
Seagate Barracuda SATA 160GB 7200.8, 5Year Warranty (With NCQ)
Sony DRU700A, DVD±RW/±R Dual Layer Writer
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, PCI
Logitech Z-640, 5 by 5.5W RMS Satellites + 23.5W RMS Sub Woofer
Logitech Cordless MX Duo, Keyboard & Optical Mouse, PS/2 & USB
Logitech Wingman Force 3D Joystick
Thermatake Tsunami, ATX File Server Case, Black, Aluminium, Front USB
Enermax EG475P-VE SFMA, Dual Fan, 470W ATX PSU
CoolerMaster Aerogate II (Black)
Samsung Syncmaster 997DF 19" monitor, .20dp, 1920x1440, Black
SanDisk Micro Cruzer 256MB USB 2.0 Pen Drive
ive got a few questions, is the memory over the top, because its not cheap but if heard good things about it and the dfi board, also any suggestions about the monitor and does the mx700 cordless mouse lag, would it be alright for gaming. This probally sounds pretty dumb but what is the cheapest way to directly connect two computers in the same room for gaming. internet, lan is not avalible, i heard crossover cable could work but im not too sure?
cheers in advance.
