Need help with XP

For some reason, only Administrators can run that POS msn messenger. Now, as you may or may not know, this F's up many other things such as Outlook Express, msn explorer(*shudders*), and hotmail. With Outlook and explorer, they just lock up until something times out and they finally start. With outlook, it locks up at every page since it tries to open messenger everytime you go to a new page in hotmail. I HATE THIS! I normally wouldnt give a rats ass since it works for me but I have other users who are getting pretty pissed that they cant get their mail. I tried uninstalling messenger by changing that thing in that .inf file(forgot the name) but it just would not show up on the list of components. I looked at the permissions for the damn thing and its all set correctly. I have NO idea whats wrong and why it only works for my user account and the administrator account(my account has admin privs). Both power users and regular users are screwed. This has to be the most annoying thing I have encountered in XP. I did NOTHING to messenger and all of a sudden it doesnt work. Can someone please help me!?

This link may help you remove it. If you want to repair your messenger then go to a Command prompt and type "sfc/runonce" without the quotes. It will bring up a menu and let you repair all your windows files.
