Need help with XP Pro...

I'm having problem with my dvd drive and cd-rw..

whenever I put in a disc the drive(S) won't respond to it (meaning won't auto run or anything). When I try to browse the CD with Windows Explorer the program would either freeze or won't recgonize.

I'm using Abit KG7 (non raid)

help! please!

make sure they are set right..master/slave.
enable DMA.

settings are right, but just won't recgonize. like i have to put in the disc and load the soundtracks manually (file, open, select tracks). thought it's supposed to load automanically? hmm... yayeeeyayeee

Did you just load any software? Software for burning cd's?
