Need help with XFX 650i ultra

hello guys. m planing to buy XFX 650i ultra mobo. I have 3 PATA drives. can any1 please let me know if this mobo supports 3 PATA drives? I heard that 650i support 4 PATA drives bt i can not find 2 PATA connectors on XFX mobo as seen on net. can any1 confirm me with the number of PATA drives it support and the number of connectors it has on board??

Only 2 PATA devices. The Abit IP35-E is a much better board for overclocking. It has better heat sinks and runs cooler. $70 AR at NewEgg plus another $5 off via PriceGrabber review. See my post in MB forum.

Seriously though, the IP35 series has to be one of the finest boards for the chipset thus far. Abit did an admirable job this time out of the gate.The IP35 Pro has been jaw-droppingly awesome for a friend of mine, and from what I can tell aside from some brittle SATA ports the 35-E is a great value.

I concur that no matter what the case may be, the 600 series chipsets run hot and are fairly unreliable. However, if you go the extra mile and replace the thermal cooling solutions placed by the manufacturer most people seem to think it works a lot better. Your mileage may vary.
