I have the Aopen motherboard that came with the shopss.com PC. I bought the CII 566 and MSI Slocket. I have the lasted bios for the motherboard (1.07). My problem is this: I can't change the voltage in the bios. I have the MSI set up to default. I am able to change the ratio and the frequency of the CPU in the bios, but not the voltage - it is set at 1.5V.

Any ideas?

you could try to connect the vid0 and vid1 pins to the vss pin on your cpu.
see the intel celron datasheet, page 86. these pins are all in the upper right corner of the cpu diagram. this will change the default voltage to 1.65vols. this should give you some more speed.
i had to do this to let my abit bm6 set my voltage above 1.7volts. (1.5 default +.02) my system was stable at 800mhz at 1.65volts
now i can set the voltage all the way up to 1.85 if needed. right now i am happy 896mhz at 1.75volts.

to do this all i did was take 1 strand of wire from an ide cable the i cut open, and wrap it around the vss pin and the vid1 pin. i then streached it over to the vid0 pin. make sure you only connect these 3 pins.

good luck

hmmm...thanks Dan. I was actaully hoping that someone could point out what I messed up that won't allow me to change the voltage settings in the BIOS. I have the MSI Slocket set to default settings, yet I am unable to alter the voltage in the BIOS.

Thanks for your help, I'll check out that option as well.
