need help with VGA cable

I have a system setup for encoding DVD's into DivX(making backups of the DVD's I legally own) and I have an old HP 15" monitor. I have a GeForce2 MX in that system, and the vga cable for the monitor has only 9 pins. The problem is, is that the cable will not fit on the GF2 MX, it has three rows of pins. I have looked at the local comp store for an adapter, but no luck. Just wondering if anybody knows if they even make one or am I just going to have to purchase a newer monitor for that system.
