Need help with upgrading memory

I currently have computer with 8 GB of DDR3 and would like to upgrade to 16 GB.

Currently installed memory is Kingston KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX running at 1600 MHz, which is configurated in Bios using XMP to run with 9-9-9-27 timings.

I'm unable to purchase same memory again, because it's out of production, but I have found another memory at Amazon, CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 from Crucial. This model uses different timings, 9-9-9-24.

My question is, can memory using two different timings?

Thanks for your help.

Should be fine. Keep the memeory with the looser timings in slot 1 so as to not mess change the xmp timings, which could cause instability.
