Need help with upgrading Fleet

K all I need some help making a decision on how to upgrade my aging fleet. I currently have 6 Athlons ranging from 1700-2700. I am looking at upgrading them but not sure which way to go. So I need some suggestions.

1. Which processor gets best bang for buck : Athlon64, Athlon64x2, P4 w/HT, Dual core P4

2. Is overclocking a stable option (This will be in my shed and I like to set and forget)

3. Price. Looking to keep reasonable($200-300 maybe more if selling more than one current cruncher)

Oh yeah and no Frys by me either 🙁

So give me some ideas
