need help with sound card

I got a soundblaster live platinum, it's about 2 years old.

I want to purchase one of the two .

the external Hercules gaming sound card

Creative labs Audigy platinum EX.

Is there a difference in the two cards that is tremendously drastic? I'm basically using it for some awesome music, movies, and easy access. thanks for the help.

The Audigy will prolly better suit your needs because the Herc is more of 1 Gamers Sound Card...

I'd say a Audigy (especially for gaming)... with a little tweaking, you can run the Audigy 2 drivers.
