Need Help with some Statistics

I'm working on a project for a marketing class and need some basic information that I'm having trouble locating. Maybe someone here can help me out. I'd really appreciate it.

I'm trying to estimate the reach of Google's AdWords. The thing is that I need a number of people, not a percentage. Google's AdWords page states that its ads reach up to 76% of users from the United States.

But the second part of that would be to get an estimate of how many users are searching on Google. I can't seem to find that info. You would think it would be easy to find (and maybe it is but I'm just missing it).

Have you seen this information or do you know where I can find it?

i fail to see how that helps you, those numbers are total number of queries, not total number of uniques

You're absolutely correct.

This should work though...

http://siteanalytics.compete.com/google.com/?metric=uv

good stuff, just make sure to check what the data they are reporting. i'm pretty sure compete is US only, which is what you are looking for. but better double check.

you'll probably also want to average the numbers, each site gives a different estimate b/c of the way they measure
