What is the best thing to wash a dog in that was sprayed by a skunk? My wife let her dog out at 4:30 am and he promptly took off after a skunk. She had to leave for work and now I have to give the dog a bath. He has been in the garage for a couple of hours now and I cannot leave the poor dog in the garage till my wife gets home.
Mind you, that the dog is a Labordor Retreiver who HATES the water. He hates the water soooo much that when it rains out, he stands under the roof eave to crap so he will not get wet. If he goes out at all. When it rains he looks up at the sky and usually heads right back in the door.

Voice of experience when a kid.

Tomato juice bath.
Exiled for a week.
Take your wife our for dinner. (After all it is your fault:p)

The house will have some leftover order for 2-3 days becuase of the dog being in the house, unless you can wash him outside.

Also, a smart dog will leave a skunk alone next time.

Macho dog will want to get even; and the cycle will repeat itself.
