My pc's configuration is listed in my signature. Here are possible noisemakers in my computer:

Antec True380S PSU with fan running at 1000-1100RPM
Antec 120MM Rear Exhaust fan (connected to fan-only)
Arctic-Cooling Copper Silent 2L (on low setting, 1500RPM)
Video Card is cooled passively

CPU is Sempron 2800+ @ 2.12, GPU is Radeon 7000

How can I make my pc quieter? I don't hear any vibrations, but it seems like the pc in general, because of the fan noise, is noisy.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I've recently been on a quest to quiet my box as well.
I highly recommend this site:

It's been a great source of info for me. You could replace the fans or you could get a fan controller. Also, if you press gently on the case by the fans or on the frame of the fan, if the fan seems to get quieter than your noise could be vibration noise. You can use rubber washers or buy some silicone decouplers to mount the fans with which would help eliminate that.

one word, my man: PANOFLO

these guys have been my 1st stop and last stop in quieting my pc. good site to pick up these fans from is www.svc.com (they also list the decibel levels of their fans)

a good order for you to start quieting your pc is:
1) case fans
2) cpu fan
3) buy a good fan speed controller
3) north bridge/vid card(but yours is passive i see)
4) PSU (this can be a pain)

how's the hard drive noise?

You could consider replacing the stock fan in the Sonata. I hear Nexus almost makes really quiet fans.
You could also try sticking this Cooler Master fan in a FAN ONLY connector.
http://www.newegg.com/app/View...tion=11-999-061&depa=0

It has a max RPM of 1220, so it'll even be pretty quiet even on max setting, let alone a FAN ONLY connector. Though, the amount of air it'll pump may be questionable...

You could maybe try covering up the punchholes on the side of your case. That'll reduce noise a bit.
