Need help with shoes (New idea)

Well that sucks but for the apparant cost of $15 to repair them you can get plenty of shoes which last between 2 days and 6 months.

I would not buy $15 shoes but that would go towards better shoes. And yes, I'm in college, I don't have money to burn on shoes. $70 is pretty good. At any rate, the soles always wears out within a year.

Not that I don't empathize with your current situation but at this very moment I am wearing $50 department store shoes which are 8 years old. They have an aggressive grip for walking on show & ice which is still very effective. Shoes do not have to be expensive to be durable.

How do you have 15 pairs of shoes and no leather soles? A vast majority of shoes are leather soled. Do you exclusively wear sneakers?

I can see leather soles for dancing. I guess if my day consisted of never being exposed to the outdoors I might consider leather soles but otherwise, just no. Vibram soles on every pair of work boots. I gave up on shoes for work as they got too beat up and now I wear boots only.

Leather soles pretty much went out in the 60s, Neolite (sp?) replaced them because leather was expensive, did not last long, and could be slippery as hell.
True all leather uppers, lining, and insole's are hard enough to find.
If leather soles are back maybe shoe repair will reappear.
I know I DO NOT own even $200 dress shoes with leather soles.

Hmmm, did find full leather replacement soles for $110 each from shoe supplies,
so half leather like those shown for easy replacement are possible. Not that anyone would want them off a classical dance floor.

you would be surprised at how much grip a leather sole has. Walking on dry concrete has a lot of stick. I live in LA so i dont have to worry about rain as much but I wasnt sliding on this last rain we had.

notice the small pits in the sole. Thats from "gripping" the surface you are walking. Do you think ancient man would of worn something that slipped and slided all over the place while fighting for his life?
